Project Room #7
Donato Piccolo
Imprévisible

From 11 April to 25 May 2018, the Foundation hosts Donato Piccolo's solo exhibition entitled Imprévisible.

Through the Project Room initiative the Foundation puts its space and knowledge at the disposition of young curators and artists, with the aim of keeping the public up-to-date on the latest trends in contemporary sculpture. This year's cycle, entitled Proust's Room, is curated by Flavio Arensi.

The protagonist of the first exhibition, from 11 April to 25 May 2018, is
Donato Piccolo (Rome, 1976) with an unpublished work, Imprévisible, which tries to analyze the existential gap between the concept of man and nature, artifice and time. A robotic sculpture that turns into a subject that learns from visitors and observers: the robotic mechanisms and artificial intelligence allow the work to move recording the reactions of the public and, based on these, set the consequent actions. Sculpture learns and acts autonomously and defines the field of human absence, from which its existential value is indispensable.
