Our proposals for the Kindergarten are dedicated to the second and third year, as a certain autonomy is required using materials and tools.
The contents and methods of approach of the visit are based on the age of the participants or, in the case of specific needs, must be agreed in advance.

Discovering the work “Entring Arnaldo’s Pomodoro Labyrinth”. Let’s build a three-dimensional labyrinth together! One, many labyrinths … but then will we really get lost?
The work is done through:

How the activity takes place: after having virtually entered the work Entrance into the Labyrinth by Arnaldo Pomodoro, we investigate the theme of the physical and emotional space of the labyrinth. Together we build a small three-dimensional labyrinth in the lid of the box followed step by step by the cultural operator together with the teacher.
What must have on each student’s desk: papers, scissors, markers and colored pencils, lid of a medium-sized box (shoebox), cardstock, vinavil glue, pencil and eraser.

The environmental work “Entrance into the Labyrinth” is an environment of 170 square meters, begun in 1995, inaugurated in 2011, today still in work in progress .
The Labyrinth of Arnaldo Pomodoro has found its definitive location in the underground spaces of the building ex Riva-Calzoni in via Solari 35, once the Museum of the Arnaldo Pomodoro Foundation, now Fendi Showroom.
With the help of a map and Arnaldo Pomodoro’s signs, we will explore this magical space where you can get lost and then find yourself that will help us reflect and tell our stories. Discovering a place that evokes distant times, the work of a lifetime, a magical and evocative environment designed over almost twenty years and inspired by the Epic of Gilgamesh, the first epic poem in history, engraved on eleven clay tablets in Sumerian characters.

How does an artist work? What techniques do he use to create your works?
We will experiment the “negative” working technique with which Arnaldo Pomodoro creates his sculptures, starting from a clay surface on which he imprints the abstract signs characteristic of his work, already imagining the final form, composed of protrusions and recesses, elements rhythmic and chaotic signs on the surface.
We will create our own sculpture by pouring plaster on the matrix and then letting it dry.

Tempera colors, brushes and tools of all kinds to create a matrix on which to print on the paper. Experimenting with this technique will help us discover the link between works of art and their means of expression, up to the point of creating a serial work of art that is never the same as itself …

Light or heavy, smooth or rough?
The activities will accompany children according to the spirit of the methodology, they will be a moment of discovery and learning in absolute autonomy; the operator’s task will not be to tell what to do, but how to do it.
From cataloging to freer composition, we will learn to use the tools correctly and to pay attention to the gesture of our hands, simple gestures that give sometimes surprising, certainly unique results.
