explore:art. Dentro il Labirinto

Pilot project carried out with the support of the Fondazione Cariplo. The project involved 2 third grader classes of the Dante Alighieri Elementary School in the development of a sensorial journey on the environmental work Entrance into the labyrinth by Arnaldo Pomodoro.

For the entire duration of the 2018-19 school year, participatory workshops were carried out, structured as moments of direct and experiential comparison with art, reworked according to a process of reinterpretation dictated by visual, sound and tactile suggestions according to a fictonal approach. critique, in collaboration with the musical artists Steve Piccolo and Gak Sato, and with the cultural operators of the Fondazione Arnaldo Pomodoro.

Through the re-elaboration of languages, the stimulation of the senses and the use of new technologies, explore:art promotes a direct and immediate use of art, without barriers or superstructures, a real cognitive journey built by visitors for the visitors themselves .

The witnesses

Participatory creation of sensory pathways for a shared experience of contemporary art.

The Explore:art project was created with the specific intention of the Arnaldo Pomodoro Foundation to involve schools in the development of a new way of experiencing contemporary art.

An ambitious project aimed at entering classrooms, integrating with the subjects of study, and ultimately sharing the design process with teachers, children, and young people, working directly with the artists.

From this experience, the Arnaldo Pomodoro Foundation – with the support of Fondazione Cariplo – has launched a model of shared and participatory engagement, a 'best practice' of collaboration and cross-disciplinary contamination between institutions, cultural operators, and the public, among different audiences…

The result of this valuable collaboration is the book THE LABYRINTH OF ARNALDO POMODORO and the digital tour DISCOVERING THE LABYRINTH.
