HORIZON | Cristina dell'Acqua presents "La formula di Socrate"

Orizzonte. Parole, immagini e musica per edificare il futuro is the program of cultural and musical events curated by the singer and songwriter Giovanni Caccamo, which will see a series of events with different formats alternating in the Arnaldo Pomodoro's Studio, designed with the aim of bringing an increasingly wider and more heterogeneous audience closer to the Foundation, with particular attention to the younger ones.

First appointment on Wednesday, April 26 at 7:00 PM with the presentation of the book The Formula of Socrates by Cristina dell’Acqua. The writer takes readers on a journey to discover the character of Socrates, whose teachings are based on the themes of research, freedom, dialogue, and doubt. A formula nourished by the love for questions, starting from a single premise: the knowledge and care of oneself. By learning to feel socratically, we learn the courage to be ourselves.

Cristina Dell’Acqua, a graduate in Classical Studies from the University of Milan, teaches Greek and Latin at Collegio San Carlo in Milan and Latin culture at IULM University in Milan. Always passionate about teaching experimentation, she specialized in Arts Integration in the USA (Annapolis, Maryland). Between 2022 and 2023, she held a series of meetings with Giovanni Caccamo, titled “Generations in Dialogue,” in schools, theaters, and prisons, as part of the project “Voice to the Young.” She is the author of Una Spa per l’anima. She also publishes cultural articles for Corriere della Sera.
