Urbanfile, the blog that daily chronicles the city and its changes, recently launched two initiatives in support of the Mutual Aid Fund of the Municipality of Milan: Urbanfile for Milan, which involved the creation of a special edition t-shirt featuring Milan’s neighborhoods, and Architects for Milan, which engaged 38 of the most renowned Italian and international architecture studios in designing t-shirts sold to raise funds for supporting less fortunate citizens.
Following the successful conclusion of the two previous initiatives, Urbanfile has decided to renew its commitment to the Mutual Aid Fund of the Municipality of Milan by involving Master Arnaldo Pomodoro, requesting permission to reproduce his most famous Milanese work, the Grande Disco in Piazza Meda, on a new series of t-shirts.
The response was immediate, also thanks to the support of the Arnaldo Pomodoro Foundation, which has been dedicated for years to safeguarding and promoting the artist's work, a true ambassador of Italian art around the world. It was Pomodoro himself, fully aligned with the purpose and spirit of the initiative, who personally oversaw the creation of the graphic design and the approval of the prototypes.
In such a challenging period for everyone, Urbanfile and the Foundation are proud to offer a sign of rebirth and support to Milan.
