ARS – Artists in Residence Show, curated by Angela Vettese and Milovan Farronato, presents twenty works created by young artists selected from twenty of the most prestigious artist residencies in Italy and around the world: Tommy Støckel (Denmark), Invernomuto (Italy), Jompet Kuswidananto (Indonesia), Nick Evans (Zambia), Mats Adelman (Sweden), Andrea Nacciarriti (Italy), Corey McCorklee (USA), Jimmy Kuehnle (USA), Etcétera… (Argentina), Ergun Köken (Turkey), Yael Bartana (Israel), Aya Tarek (Egypt), Alberto Tadiello (Italy), Alessandro Piangiamore (Italy), Marianne Vierø (Netherlands), Matteo Rubbi (Italy), Anneé Olofsson (Sweden), Luigi Presicce (Italy), Luca Trevisani (Italy), Francesca De Pieri (Italy), Delphine Dhilly (France).
The initiative aims to give voice to young Italian and international artists through a showcase that highlights the growing phenomenon—and reveals how the art world is changing—of artist residencies: workplaces and studios that provide a space and time suited for concentration, training, experimentation, and the development of new ideas, away from daily necessities and sheltered from market pressures.
The exhibition is accompanied by a catalogue published by the Foundation, featuring texts by the curators and presentation materials of the artists involved.
