Inspired by the Epic of Gilgamesh, the first great allegorical poem in the history of humanity (around 2000 BC), the Labyrinth takes the visitor on a journey between myth and memory, discovering the roots of the human experience.
This environmental work, in the archetypal form of the labyrinth, is a perfect synthesis of the artistic and creative journey that Arnaldo Pomodoro has developed throughout his life: a reflection on his entire body of work, starting from the elaboration of ancient forms of writing, all the way to expansion into architectural dimensions and scenic space.
Born in 1995 as a work in progress, the piece is located in the underground spaces of the former Riva-Calzoni Mechanical Workshops building, which was once the exhibition venue of the Arnaldo Pomodoro Foundation (2005-2011), and is now the Milan headquarters of the FENDI Maison.

Duration of visit: approximately 45 to 60 minutes.
Access is exclusively through guided tours by reservation only.
We strongly recommend being on time. Entry will not be permitted more than 5 minutes after the start of the tour.
The environments of the Labyrinth are not accessible to people with mobility disabilities.
Steps with handrails are provided in the route; the space does not have internal elevators.
No animals are allowed to enter.
All participants in the activity will receive a complimentary ticket to visit the exhibition “Open Studio #3. Arnaldo Pomodoro la Sfera”ongoing at Via Vigevano 3, Milan, until June 1, 2025.
