Nuovi percorsi al Museo del Novecento
March 2, 2021
Museo del Novecento, Palazzo dell’Arengario, Piazza Duomo 8, Milano
On March 2, the Museo del Novecento in Milan presents the rearrangement of its collections, a new narrative of art from the 1920s to the 1950s, a reading that intertwines a chronological criterion with a critical-thematic interpretation, alternating between large, bright halls and intimate, enclosed spaces where visitors can delve deeper into the themes that shaped the 20th century.
Thanks to the collaboration between the museum and the Foundation, two works by Arnaldo Pomodoro – The Column of the Traveler, 1959, I (1959) and Sphere No. 5 (1965) – part of the Foundation's Collection, have been included in the “New Paths of Abstraction” section, which explores the abstract experiments of the 1950s and 1960s, with works by artists such as Consagra, Capogrossi, Kounellis, and Novelli.
With the inclusion of these works, the Museo del Novecento becomes part of the guided tour La Milano di Pomodoro.
