To scratch, draw, write
Curated by Flaminio Gualdoni
May 20 - October 14, 2021
ABC-Arte, Via XX settembre 11/A, Genova
On May 20, the ABC-Arte Gallery of Genoa inaugurates the exhibition Arnaldo Pomodoro. To scratch, draw, write, curated by Flaminio Gualdoni, created in collaboration with the Fondazione Arnaldo Pomodoro and under the patronage of the Municipality of Genoa.
The exhibition presents around thirty important sculptures dated from the late 1950s to today – three of which are on loan from the Foundation’s Collection: Tavola dei segni, 1957, II, Rotativa di Babilonia, studio, and Lettera a K. – retracing the long and passionate adventure of the artist with tracing indecipherable signs that become the protagonists of the surface and the form.
Accompanying the exhibition is a bilingual monograph published by ABC-Arte, with texts by Flaminio Gualdoni, Michele Robecchi, and Federico Giani, curator of the Foundation, along with a rich collection of images provided by the Foundation.
