Thursday, October 22 and Wednesday, November 25, on the occasion of the exhibition All is Happy in the World of Art. Tribute to Giovanni Carandente, the Foundation is organizing two meetings at the Studio of Arnaldo Pomodoro, located at via Vigevano 3, Milan.

For the first evening, titled Return to Spoleto. The Legacy of Giovanni Carandente, artists Eugenio Carmi, Carlo Lorenzetti, and Arnaldo Pomodoro, introduced by Luciano Caprile, will tell the story of the historic exhibition Sculture nella città organized by Giovanni Carandente in Spoleto in 1962. On this occasion, the film Sculture nella città (10’33”, directed by Piero Schivazappa, text by Giovanni Carandente) will be screened.

The second appointment, titled Out in the Open: David Smith and Eduardo Chillida, will feature Stefano Esengrini: a conversation about contemporary art starting from the words and most significant public works of two key figures in 20th-century sculpture, both deeply admired by Giovanni Carandente: Eduardo Chillida and David Smith. The film The Workshop of David Smith (9’14”, directed by Giovanni Carandente) will also be screened.
