Founded in 1995, in its first four years of existence, the Arnaldo Pomodoro Foundation focused on the arrangement and setup of the works donated by Arnaldo Pomodoro, the first core of his Collection.

On October 15, 1999, the exhibition space in Via Adda 15, Quinto Stampi (Rozzano) opened to the public: an old two-story bolt factory of about 1,700 square meters, renovated according to the design of architect Pierluigi Cerri, where approximately 50 sculptures, among the most significant in Arnaldo Pomodoro's artistic research, are permanently exhibited.

This marks the beginning of the Foundation's public activities, which, between 1999 and 2004, saw the organization of exhibitions (such as the group exhibitions Scuola d’arte del Montefeltro and Opere grafiche nella scultura del Novecento, and the solo exhibition of Salvatore Cuschera), meetings and book presentations (such as the presentation of the book Scritti critici per Arnaldo Pomodoro), various initiatives (such as the competition for young artists to create a sculpture for Piazza Berlinguer in Rozzano), and guided tours, particularly aimed at high school students and students from fine arts academies.
