Concluding the celebrations marking the centenary of Arnaldo Pomodoro’s birth, on 1 October 2026 the Fondazione inaugurates Open Studio #5 | La Collezione di Arnaldo Pomodoro – Vol. I, the first of two exhibitions dedicated to the extraordinary art collection assembled by the Maestro over the course of his lifetime, which today forms an integral part of the Fondazione’s cultural heritage.
Built through acquisitions, exchanges and gifts, the collection offers the most intimate portrait of Arnaldo Pomodoro: a geography of relationships, friendships and exchanges with artists, intellectuals and leading figures of Italian and international culture who accompanied more than sixty years of his artistic practice. More than a mere collection of works, it represents the diary of a life devoted to art, told through the encounters that nurtured his thought and imagination.
Staged in the spaces of Pomodoro’s Studio, the two-part exhibition project (Vol. I – 2026–2027 / Vol. II – 2027–2028) will present a total of more than one hundred works from the collection, offering visitors the opportunity to discover for the first time a body of works hitherto largely unseen, while also retracing some of the key milestones in the personal and artistic journey of Pomodoro and his Fondazione, from the 1950s to the present day.
Full price €8 / Reduced €5 / Free admission for visitors under 26, teachers, members of the Foundation, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and ICOM, and holders of the Musei Lombardia pass.

When: every Saturday and Sunday, from October 3, 2026 to May 30, 2027, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM (last admission 30 minutes before closing).
