More than 1,000 new photographic records, each corresponding to a folder dedicated to a single sculpture, document the design, fabrication, transportation, and installation of the works. Presented in both color and black and white, these images provide a unique insight into the technical and creative process that precedes the finished artwork.
For each folder—renamed using the internal archival code (AP) and the title of the work—the time period during which all the photos were taken was identified, and the names of all known photographers were listed; for each photographer, the most significant photo was selected for publication in the gallery —and the total number of items within the folder itself was calculated, so as to make it clear to the user when there are more items in the folder than are available online.
